We would like to compile a list of those in the congregation who have access to an email address, so that we can send you information about things that are happening in Second Dromara or relevant documents such as financial statements and annual reports. Email is a more efficient and cost-effective way of sending you this information than by post.
If you would like to be included in the email group, please send an email to the following address for the attention of Irene Burrows. In that way she will be able to pick up your email for inclusion on the list.
seconddromaragdpr@btinternet.com
Please note that your email address will be retained securely in line with our Data Protection Policy.
We realise that not everyone has an email address so we will continue to make documents available for those people either in the church building or by post as appropriate and through announcements at the start of the service.
Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone,
As I mentioned on Sunday, we've had a joint meeting between our elders and committee.
We understand that some people would like to begin meeting together right away, while others are more nervous and want to take their time and some are shielding.
And so our elders and committee have decided that although the government has lifted the ban on indoor church meeting together from Monday 29th of June, we feel this is much too early for us in 2nd Dromara to restart, given the many important preparations that have to be made.
As we continue to say, our number one priority is everyone's safety and it will take time to make wise and proper preparations.
So we have decided that, God willing, our 1st Sunday back worshipping God together in 2nd Dromara will be Sunday 6th September at 11.30am
We know that some will be unable to join us, because you may be shielding or have genuine concerns. Therefore we have decided to live stream the services, so that those with an internet connection can watch our services at home live each Sunday at 11.30. And for those without internet, we will continue to make our services available on the phone. We hope that these efforts will make everyone feel very much a part of our church family - ALL loved, ALL cared for and ALL equally valued.
With current social distancing measures, our church building can only accommodate 50 people maximum. So we are also putting in place an overflow into the church hall, with a video and audio link, so that people can see and hear everything in the service and participate.
Initially, children will come along to church and sit with their family. We will have a children's slot (without them coming to the front). The service will also be much shorter and we will provide safe materials for them during the short sermon.
We are also making preparations for Shine on Sunday (our Sunday School). But this will not recommence until at least the 4th October, as we want to evaluate if there is any transmission of the virus between children, when they return to school. Once again, safety is our concern.
As you will understand, there is a lot of work needed to get the technology up and running. All this takes time.
We will continue to keep you informed. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to be in touch.
And, most importantly of all, please pray for God to guide, overrule & bless in all the preparations that need to be made. We know that this is, for our church family & community, a time of very real challenge, but we trust also a time of very real hope.
Shine HBC this year is called "Mission Unstoppable". It starts from Monday 6th July and runs to Thursday 9th. Time is 6.30pm - 7pm. It's on Zoom, so like our normal HBC it will be interactive - boys and girls can join in the fun with the leaders in the comfort of their own home. *Children must be registered beforehand.* Find the details on our church website or Facebook or contact Andrew. Please spread the word.
